Book an appointment
Personas: Coordinator (anyone in the office who books customer meetings) · Modules: Appointments Book a customer meeting by clicking a free time slot on a grid — no typing dates by hand.
Before you start: the customer must exist in Customers; the colleague they meet (optional) must exist in Employees.
1. Pick a slot — Coordinator
- In the Sales sidebar group, open Appointments. Instead of a plain list, a slot picker opens: a three-day grid of 30-minute slots between 09:00 and 18:00, with weekends closed (Saturday and Sunday are not offered).
- Slots already holding an appointment show as taken — double-booking is visible at a glance.
- Click a free slot. The create form opens with the appointment time (At) already filled in from the slot you clicked — you never type the date or time.
2. Fill in who — Coordinator
- Pick the Customer (required).
- Optionally pick the Employee the appointment is with — a one-desk business simply leaves it empty.
- Add a short Note if useful, and save. The slot immediately shows as taken on the grid.
What happened behind the scenes
- The booked slot is stored as the appointment's At date-and-time, written by the picker.
- No number, no status, no workflow — the appointment is just there, and the grid is the truth about what is free.
Variations and refusals
- Wrong time? Open the appointment and edit it (or delete it) — the grid updates accordingly.
- Times outside 09:00–18:00, or on a weekend, are simply not offered on the grid.
